I've been going to Santa Cruz every year since I was little. I haven't had the chance this year and I feel like I've been craving it. We tried going last Monday and that was a mistake. It took us over half an hour to drive about 5 miles. Apparently everyone in Sacramento had the same Labor Day plans as we did. So we turned around. We finally went today as a sort of "End of Summer Hurrah." The weather was crap but that's ok. It was fun. It was calming. It was all I needed.
And now Fall can officially begin. :)
